Alertable is the new notification system being used by both Riverport Electric Customers and the Town of Mahone Bay. It is a Canadian-made service by Public Emergency Alerting Services Inc. (PEASI)
It is trusted by over 1300 municipalities, indigenous communities and businesses across Canada, with all data stored securely in Canada. This system delivers emergency alerts and important notifications to keep you informed about urgent situations and everyday incidents in our community such as power outages and weather events.

The Utility Team has informed us that they will need an outage tomorrow from 9am to 3pm to replace a broken pole.

It will affect everyone on Upper Kingsburg Road, Drumlin Lane and Net Yard Lane. We will communicate any updates as they happen.

Due to the storm, Nova Scotia Power has discovered that a planned outage is required to remove a tree leaning heavily on a transmission line outside of our area.
Mahone Bay, Riverport, Lunenburg, and the surrounding areas will all experience this outage to safely remove the tree. The planned outage will begin at 7:30pm today, lasting approximately 15-30 minutes.
